Please note, the following settings must be made on your computer in order to connect successfully to our national service.

• You must change your current username into the following format: idm/storm/johnsmith@storm.ca Where johnsmith/janedoe reflects the username that has our National Dialup Service activated.
• You must remove your current Ottawa/Brockville DNS Configuration from your dialup account. To do this:
  Windows XP:
  
  • Click on Start and go to Control Panel
  • Go into Network Connections
  • Right click on your dialup connection and select properties
    
  • In the Networking tab double click on Internet Protocol
    
  • Select the third option to automatically retrieve DNS information
    
  Windows 98:
  
  • Go into My Computer
    
  • Go into Dialup Networking
    
  • Right click on your dialup connection and select properties
    
  • In the server types tab go into the TCP/IP Settings
  • Select the third option to automatically retrieve DNS
  
  
  If you can connect but not surf, go in and enter these DNS numbers
  Primary/Preffered: 209.226.43.9
  Secondary/Alternate: 198.235.216.135
