Dear Classmates,
Our Reunion has come and gone; and it was a great success. Despite the tragedy around us, 120 people were in attendance. Another 37 people were unable to attend due to circumstances beyond their control. But our thoughts were with them, as we know theirs were with us.
We wish to thank you all for making the evening one we will not forget. We also thank Kerry Mueller for her inspirational words and prayers as we said Grace and prayed for our deceased classmates and those lost at the World Trade Center, The Pentagon and in PA.
A special thanks must go to Judy Walker Yettito who made the trip to
Hackensack by car from Florida when all air flights had been cancelled; and to Nancy Brandt DeBussey who drove from Virginia at the last minute to be with us.
As we looked out the windows from the top floor of the Hilton Hotel at the darkened Empire State Building, our hearts were saddened, but our spirit and resolve were strong. The tragedy that unfolded over the last week will not keep this great country of ours down. We are the post WWII children who worked to bring our country back to its greatness and our children will do the same.
We wish you many healthy and happy years to come, and hope that, with the Grace of God, we will meet again for another Reunion in the future.
Those of you who had reservations and were not able to attend will be receiving a partial refund, due to the kindness of the Hilton management, and a directory and some souvenirs from the Reunion.
