Who We Are
Among Eastern Ontario’s first Internet Services Providers, since 1996 Storm Internet Services has focused on continuous innovation and customer-driven service and support that consistently exceed expectations. Serving both residential and small-to-medium business customers in Ontario and Quebec, and providing high-speed access across 8,000 square kilometers of the Ottawa Valley, Storm’s customers value the following core attributes:
No ongoing contracts or needless penalties. We insist on earning your loyalty every day, and unlike some larger ISPs, refuse to unduly charge or penalize our customers for changing Service Providers.
No traffic shaping. A practice employed by other ISPs, traffic shaping is a way to limit bandwidth usage, sometimes to the detriment of customers. Storm customer bandwidth is never “shaped”, “throttled back” or otherwise restricted by bandwidth algorithms.
Local service and support. We don’t outsource support calls to overseas call centre staff that follow hierarchical procedures versus common sense. Storm call centres are deliberately located in and staffed by support and installation teams that live in the communities they serve.
Service Commitment. Our technicians are available daily, monitoring our infrastructure and ensuring your inquiries are responded to in a timely fashion. Our 99.9% uptime guarantee is backed by a team of qualified support technicians using state-of-the-art technology, to ensure your connection is never lost and all inquiries are addressed.
Commitment to community. The Internet is now part of how we live, work and play, and Storm is proud to support and sponsor major cultural and fundraising events throughout the Ottawa Valley such as Ottawa Bluesfest, H.O.P.E. Volleyball Tournament, Ottawa Fringe Festival, and AIDS Walk Ottawa.
